This past weekend my boyfriend and I ate dinner in Santana Row at Straits. The restaurant was amazing, so was the weather. So we walked around the row and had dessert at Kara’s Cupcakes. I had the Java cupcake, a chocolate cupcake topped with espresso buttercream frosting. It wasn’t really special or anything, just a simple cupcake. I feel like anyone could have baked it. My boyfriend had the Sweet Chocolate (yes, we are chocolate lovers). It was a chocolate cupcake with a filling of sweet chocolate inside. He said he really liked it but he likes everything that’s chocolate. Overall, I don’t know if I’ll be coming back here. It wasn’t bad, but like I said, I don’t feel like there was anything special about this place and maybe not worth 3 bucks for a single cupcake.
